autox is stress on the body, suspension, tires, and engine and tranny

I really didn't want to have to say that for myself. I've personaly seen what can happen just doing a burnout much less participating in an event. I know for an absolute fact drag racing is much worse than autox on a car. I'm not trying to convince you to autox as you said "to each his own" just don't tell people that it's harder on a car than drag racing when you have never done both. BTW I've done both with no ill effects to my car but IMO drag racing is detrimental to my car (only did it once just to find out the 1/4 mile ET) but it will never go again in it's current preperation. Once my turbo engine is complete I will run it again just to see where it's at though.

do you all not launch at the begining of your autox run? when i went one time to watch, there were people launching it, so if im right about the launching in autox..... autox is: launching + hard turns. where as drag is: launching + hard acceleration, but anyways nevermind they are two totally different types of racing. and i wasn't aware it was like a freakin religion to you all lol.

I can't say anything about auto-x, with road racing you're moving when things start. I was making reference to this. When I was at one in flagstaff some time ago, most people were rolling a little bit and just accelerated hard.

Drifting is HORRIBLE for cars, you're doing everything that your car doesn't want to do. I don't have to pay on my car anymore though, plus I don't really care if I hit or break something, most things are pretty easy to repair. I know where you're coming from with respect to that. There seems to be less chance of damaging the body.

Like you said to each their own, do what you want to do. We're all assholes with our own agenda. I'll tell me to fuck off for you.
