I would say the talent behind drag racing lies more with the build of the car itself not so much actualy driving it down the strip. When your talking running in the low 8's in the 1/4 I'd say it takes balls! If your running below 6's you are definately needing talent to control that power safely. And while tooting

the Mini in a parking lot might not require skill or talent, and there's literally no risk to you or others, it does develop skills for road racing. And that kind of motorsport carries with it a risk greater than drag racing simply because the speeds are the same, maybe higher and then add in turns and transitions and the difficulty rises.
Simply put; with the level of prep on the Mits you would have alot more risk (talent and experience are needed to overcome risk) in road racing than in drag racing (given you had equal experience in both sports).
You've done autox and I have drag raced I'm sure we will both do them again. I basicly just drag to see what the car I'm driving will do or what effect a power mod had on it.
I enjoy the hell out of road racing but it's just out of my budget to do it more than 3 times a year.
